The Cape Horticultural Society, in Cape Town, encourages experienced and amateur gardeners to meet like-minded people who want to share knowledge, and to promote biodiversity, where plants flourish and the balance of nature exists.
What does joining as a member get you?
You will have access to our monthly meeting in Newlands, Cape Town, where we cover a wide range of horticultural subjects as well as finding bargains at the Nursery Table while enjoying a cup of tea. At these meetings, we always have interesting talks by guest speakers. You will also have access to a library filled with plant knowledge. Receive our monthly newsletter, filled with gardening tips and the latest CHS news. Get access to a programme filled with activities such as private garden visits, technical demonstrations, and more. Join our annual end-of-year party! As well as be able to participate in Mediterranean Gardening International news and activities as we are affiliated with them. Above all, the CHS offers an unparalleled opportunity to mix with horticulturists – experienced and inexperienced gardeners – who will be able to inform, excite and inspire you on this wonderful gardening journey.

Annual membership is only R280 for individuals, R140 with a student discount.
